The designing of passenger liner MS-21 was started
According to the Chief Executive Officer of TSAGI Sergey Chernyshev, in comparison with NEO product line Airbus planes MS-21 will possess 6-7 percent better aero dynamical characteristics. "Our plane will be competitive for the western market entry, but, first of all, we see it as a new "working horse" instead of Tu-154", — Mr Chernyshev told. He noted, that the large-scale production of the Russian liner will supply a demand for internal Russian air transportation.

MS-21 ("Magistralny samolet of the XXI century") will replace the obsolete Tu-134, Tu-154 and partially replace Tu-204. According to current schedule the Russian norms certification should be finished in 2015, the international norms certification — one year later. It is planned to produce three types of MS-21 — 200, 300 and 400. Accordingly, they will carry 150, 181 and 212 passengers. The cost of liner designing program is valued at 190 billion roubles.

To the present time United aircraft corporation that controls MS-21 project got orders for 146 planes delivery. As it is expected, the first serial Russian liner will be delivered to Malasyan company Crecom Burj Berhad in 2016.
